Hit The Piñata

Hit the Piñata, titled after the song of the same name by artist Max Grise, will transport you into a world of whimsy. This project encapsulates the need for play and the fervency of people to do so. Watch as the adult reverts to a former child and work transforms to play as one enters the plastic paradise of the bounce house. Narrated by the hand that swings the bat, the swing that unleashes streams of candy, all of the reality melts away as we watch indulgence in the most primal sense of the word. The piñata acts as a metaphor for boundaries between humanity and pleasure, a flimsy barrier that separates adult life from leisure. Everyone, every once in a while, must satisfy their need to hit the piñata.
