Omorfia

I grew up watching movies like Pride and Prejudice, where I saw the most beautiful outfits, makeup, jewelry, and nature but I did not see myself represented in movies like this. However, when I walked through museums, I saw these beautiful and strong sculptures of women with soft features. Round and soft, like stomachs, faces, and arms, made my heart happy. It always excited me to see these beautiful bodies represented in art.

Outside of sculptures in Tv, movies, magazines and the fashion industry, art often has focused on thin sharp features. However, there is beauty in the softness in life, whether that is soft features or a soft nature you exhibit.

In Greek, Omorfia means beauty. There is absolute beauty in being someone who views life softly and sweetly. Softness can be exhibited through how your body moves or how you see the world.

Joy C Bell said, “It’s the hard things that break; soft things don’t break…it’s the soft things that can’t break! The hard things are the ones that shatter into a million pieces!”

I have always seen the beauty in the softness of nature. The way leaves bend in the wind and the way flowers move. Nature has always been something that exhibits extreme hardness and softness at the same time. When you view life in a soft and moldable way, you can change how you approach the world and people.

There is Omorfia in the softness of the world.
