It drips down and out onto their faces and is welcomed into their empty sultry souls (yuck!). And so the pink swans become the black. Some may call it fashion, but I would say it is closer to a coup de théâtre. They become one with the ooey gooey unknown like beautiful savage machines to oil. A captivating disaster, but fear not! For it is all a show. An ode of sorts to the peak of theatrics on the runway. Yuck! reminisces on times when the likes of McQueen lived and looks toward the impact on the catwalks of today becoming increasingly innovative and jaw-dropping. The 1999 spring/summer show finale revolutionized through the glorification of the unprecedented experimental performance. The possibility of absolute failure. The uncontrollable. The ooey-gooey unknown falls for no one, it has a mind of its own of course. Surrender and let it seep in as a frisson runs down your spine in absolute s(ub)lime.
