We are born with knowing in our bones. As we grow, the knowing fades. The child carries wisdom without words. The elder carries words without wisdom. Between them lies the forgetting.
A mind left empty, breaks, as a body left without food or soil falls away. A shallow mind clings to what is easiest, make it true.
But you, when you see others, you know you are not alone. Their lives prove your life.
The faces around you are mirrors. Without them, your shape is broken glass. To know yourself alone is to know nothing; the self grows in the soil of others.
What we do not understand cannot be caged. And we are not born to cage the world—so we are not born to understand it fully. The river does not ask to be held.
The fire does not ask to be caught. We ask, and so we suffer. I am what rots beneath the surface.
