It is safe to say that while we’ve been cooped up and left to our own devices in this age of Covid-19, the use of FaceTime is prominent in our daily lives. Professional photoshoots, which were once the norm, are not so common right now. Instead, FaceTime photoshoots that are taking over. From Jacquemus’ Spring 2020 campaign to celebrities like Demi Lovato, the coined phrase of “Zoom Photoshoots” is all over social media. It is clear that platforms like Facetime, Zoom, and even Skype aren’t just tools for networking; in fact, they have become a significant part of promoting creativity in a time of social distancing self-isolation.
So who says we can’t dress up and feel our best – even if it is just for a FaceTime call? Even though we are stuck at home, we can still dress and feel our best regardless of the setting. Go ahead, put on that fun outfit you purchased at the beginning of March, and wear it proudly through a screen.
