Spring Beauty Trends

As spring is here and summer is approaching, the beauty trends for spring 2021 are not here to play! This season’s trends are fun, colorful, and some are slightly retro and are meant for anyone and everyone. Remember, you can always alter the trends to work for your face shape, skin tone, and personal aesthetic.

Glowy Skin

We are all ready to be on a tropical island sitting on the beach under the sun. Channel your inner vacation self this spring by putting your skin first with simple face makeup and a focus on dewy skin. Many people have been inside all year, and now that we are starting to get out again, especially as the weather warms, let your skin breathe. Balms and dewy serums are great to bring out the inner dewy dumpling in us all (Creator of dewy dumplings: Nam Vo)

Metallic Lids

I bet we are all ready to get outside and bring our all to remind people how truly iconic we are. Metallics are a great way to channel your inner diva and shine like a disco ball. Eyeshadow can be a simple and easy way to make an impact. Metallics are a great way to add some drama to your look, even if you are wearing jeans and a tank.

Monochromatic makeup

Life is chaotic enough, don’t stress yourself out by trying a full glam look every day. A one-product monochromatic look is a great and easy way to bring some color to your face while serving soft glam. Any product works. Lipstick can easily blend to be blush, or a liquid blush is a great go-to, or any product that you love can be perfect.

Green eyeshadow

Green for spring is everywhere, from clothes to nails to makeup, so pack a punch with a bright green eye. It is quite universal, and you can use a light wash of green or bring a bold metallic green eye. Eyes are said to be a window to your soul, and eyeshadow is a fantastic way to express yourself, so make a green-colored impact this spring. Green accentuates most skin tones and eye colors, so find the shade that works best for you.

Bold Lip

Collectively we took an unexpected hiatus from lipstick, so lipstick is coming back better and bolder than ever. COVID-19 led to lowered lipstick sales, and the number of people who saw our lips also declined. As vaccinations are rolling out and we are all ready to get outside, a bold lip is on-trend. Whether it is a deep wine or bright orange, bring the fierce and light up every room you walk into with that lip.

Graphic eyeliner

Spring beauty brings minimal makeup, and skin-focused beauty, so graphic eyeliner is a great way to add fun and artsy details. Graphic eyeliner is any artistic and fun way you want to do your eyeliner; this could be double winged eyeliner wings or colorful dots and lines. You can easily tie in your outfit through the colors or make your outfit more exaggerated and exciting.

Claw Clip

Claw clips are a great way to bring back the 90’s through a simple and cute hairstyle. They are super easy to get in any design or colors you like pretty cheaply. These are great to throw in your bag for on-the-go hairstyles, very model-off-duty vibes when you wear a claw clip. Claw clips are easy to use for many hairstyles. Whether to hold all your hair or half up half down, you can experiment and have fun with clips.

Mini braids

We are bringing a blast to the past with mini braids this spring. This hair trend might be reminiscent of your childhood or Y2K fashion. Just like claw slips, mini braids are easy ways to spice up your hair routine. Whether you do two mini birds in front to frame your face or put throughout your hair, you can easily make your hair more cool and trendy with some small braids.
