Last week, I had the pleasure of immersing myself in a one-of-a-kind LoveShackFancy pop-up shop at the Hotel Bardo Savannah, where I had the honor of not just meeting, but engaging with Rebecca Hessel Cohen, the brand’s Founder and Creative director. The event was held in the hotel’s charming courtyard, which perfectly complemented LoveShackFancy’s endearing charm. Guests were treated to drinks, ice cream, and refreshing watermelon skewers. I had the opportunity to explore archival, bespoke, and even pieces from their latest collection, as well as a sneak peek at an exciting addition coming soon to LoveShackFancy.
This pop-up shop was a trip into the frilly, fun, and feminine world of LoveShackFancy. When I asked about the selection of garments, Mrs. Cohen explained that the collections were rebranding with all new titles. Instead of “bespoke,” the upcycled garments are now called “Rebloom,” and the archival collection is now called “Beck’s Archive.”
Rebloom is a fitting title because the garments have been given a new life. The Rebloom pieces featured unique, handmade summer must-haves. I adored the beautiful blues, pinks, and purples displayed on these one-of-a-kind tops, which had fresh and flirty designs.
Beck’s Archive consists of pieces from Mrs. Cohen’s personal vintage collection. While browsing this collection, I loved seeing the satin and lace slips, long floral dresses, and a stunning patchwork denim jacket with a large bow motif on the back. While the archival jacket was tempting, I took a piece from the latest collection home with me instead: a white knit sweater with an adorable bow embroidered on the front. I’m pretty sure it was supposed to be for kids, but it fit, and I just had to have it. The new collection features pastel yellow, peachy pink, baby blue, and white. The soft designs and colors were a charming addition to the LoveShackFancy collection.
While conversing with Mrs. Cohen, I was offered the exciting opportunity to try out the upcoming fourth edition of LoveShackFancy’s fragrance collection. The specifics of the scent and packaging are our little secret for now, but I will tell you it was an absolutely delightful fragrance that I cannot wait to get my hands on, and the color is the cutest compliment to the collection.
Finally, on my way out, I stopped to flip through the most precious scrapbook of Mrs. Cohen’s adventures with LovesShackFancy. From the wedding that started it all to her experience at SCAD, this pink, sparkly, and bow-filled book encapsulated the whimsical journey of LoveShackFancy. I highly recommend any event by LoveShackfFancy as they never fail to excite and spread beauty and positivity to all who enjoy it.
