Glossed is the state of using lip gloss as the primary source of your makeup look. Being glossed is a feeling of being aesthetic and put together through just the swipe of a gloss. As a beauty editor, I have often felt as though I should be the expert on how to put together a full face of makeup with a perfect eye. However, let’s be realistic, a cut crease eye look may not be perfect for every day or even fit your style, or within the time you have for your beauty routine.
As someone who often lays in bed for way too long and spends too long figuring out what to wear, putting some neutral eyeshadows down as a base and then choosing any gloss for an eye and for a lip are the perfect running out the door option. Whether a $5 gloss off of Amazon or a $35 Dior lip gloss choosing a glossy look, whether just an eye, a lip, a touch of blush, can make a look fit any event.
I have long been a fan of using lipstick as a blush. It may seem odd however it can be “life-changing” when pulling a makeup look together. Using lip gloss on your cheek can seem odd. However, a few dabs of a sheen on your high cheek and rubbing it in with a brush or your fingers create a dewy aesthetic look.
The state of being glossed is for anyone and everyone. Whether you are headed to class and want to impress people with a unique look or are going on a date and want to turn heads, a little bit of gloss never hurts. The sensuality of a simplistic but beautiful look illustrates the power of beauty and how beauty can make us feel.
Are you going to try a glossy look? If so, Spring is a great time to experiment with colors, textures, and different light makeup.
